📝 Joining & Registration
How do I sign my child up?
It's a two-step process:
- Evaluation: Schedule a quick pool session with Coach Dave to find the right group.
- Registration: Once assigned a group, you'll complete the online registration form.
What are the "Three Memberships"?
Competitive swimming requires three separate fees:
- GAC Dues: Monthly coaching fees.
- USA Swimming: Annual insurance/league fee.
- Facility Pass: Membership to Logan Health or The Wave.
Do I get a discount at the gym?
Yes! Both
Logan Health and
The Wave typically offer specific membership options for GAC swimmers (ages 13 & under). Please contact their front desks directly and mention GAC.

Which pool do we go to?
We run concurrent practices at both locations. You can choose the one most convenient for your family:
- Kalispell: Logan Health Medical Fitness
- Whitefish: The Wave Aquatic Center
What equipment do I need?
At minimum: A suit, goggles, and a cap. As swimmers advance to Silver/Gold, they will need fins, snorkels, and paddles.

⏱ Meets & Commitments
What is the volunteer requirement?
Families must contribute
2 hours per month (max 22/year) to help run meets. Unfulfilled hours are billed at $50/hr. You can also become an Official to fulfill hours!
How many meets do we have to do?
Swimmers generally attend 3 meets in Winter (Short Course) and 3 in Summer (Long Course). Parents choose which meets to sign up for via the Events page.
